In 1998, I met Eddie Cruz, he owned the Union Los Angeles & Stussy LA chapter store on La Brea. We instantly formed a friendship and a conversation about sneakers, sports, and hip-hop that is now 20 years deep. Fast forward 4 years and the first of a deep archiver of Nike collaborations started. The first projects on the Dunk High are still some of the early works that set the foundation for what we know as the sneaker game. Eddie and James Bond understood the crossover of sport and street was the future of the game and every brand that wanted to be cool in Los Angeles knew that the entry to this world was through Eddie.
