In the late 90’s, I went to Tokyo, Japan for the first time, and met one of the pioneers of skateboarding, hip-hop, sneaker culture, and perhaps the person who started what we now know as streetwear collaborations with iconic brands. Over an 8 year period, I worked closely with Hiroshi Fujiwara on color and materials designs for products that included Air Force 1’s, Nike Dunks’s, Footscape Woven’s, among others.
